I stopped by the bookstore today and took a look at the magazine section. Noticed a Luger on the cover of a magazine. It wasn't a gun magazine! It is the Scientific American Mind, and the cover story, apparently about criminal minds depicts all sorts of stuff a criminal mind might find useful, including the Luger...

Lugers is also often found on the cover of various cheap crime-novels from the 50-80s. Often the books don't contain the word 'Luger' at all, and are used on the cover more as a symbol of evil and crime.. probably a cliche today.
