I found this on epray, it looks like someone took a mauser alum, bottom and ground out the bottom of an fxo drilled a retaining hole and mated them up. I have not seen a s/42 marked alum, bottom, is this fake or did some get marked as such?, btw, I will post my questions on mags here as directed, but the holster forum says all holster,grip and [magazine] questions can be posted here. Maybe I read it in the wrong context,

I think it is neither a fake nor an official version. Someone just mated the bottom of an earlier magazine with a later Haenel fxo body. Those things happen in a gun's lifespan. Just someone, postwar, creating a functional magazine from parts at hand, that's all.
