can anyone give me a rough value on a 1917 dated dwm artillery luger top end in a genuine 99.9 % condition ,there is only a little rub mark on the muzzle, matching numbers but missing extractor

Hi Nick,
Our LP-08 fellows will probably ask if the piece is de-activated or not and original, factory finish or not. Same with British proofs or not. |

Perhaps you can compare your gun to on of these? http://www.simpsonltd.com/index.php?cPath=1_3
But these are US prices, here in Europe they are often not that high: Probably because there is a more limited marked due to more strict regulations concerning gun ownership. Btw, it sounds like a very nice Luger! ..pictures would be nice if possible ![]()

If it's only the upper it will not match the lower, or the extractor. I would guess $750 but I may be low.

sorry when i asked for an oppinion as to the value of the top half of a 1917 dated artillery luger in 99.9 new condition i didnt think were i lived made a difference. for those interested i have homes in the uk the us and ireland. my local gun shop ,in florida, has a frame for which he wants $450 it is only in 50% condition so does not match the top but at least i will have a shootable gun. a neighbour in florida, gave me the top so i have no money in it. they lost the frame in a move .they did not want to drive across country with a complete gun!.

IMHO
$450 for a frame in 50% condition seems a little high. But the upper is worth more than the price of a lower.
