Default What is this Mauser K98 tool?

Hope you all are having a great summer!

This is something I have been wondering about for some time.. anyone know how is this tool used on the rifle??

It's found in most cleaning boxes. Looks more like a dental tool..

This tool is from the 98k mauser tobacco can cleaning kit . The slot holds the tow for cleaning the chamber . The other end is used to depress the button on the bottom of the triger guard to release the floor plate from the rifle. These are many times missing from the cleaning kit.

Thanks!
It has been in my cleaning kit for years, but never used it. Will try it next time I clean the rifle!
