Nice Swiss military holster.

The only part I am a bit picky on is the various spots or slight stains on the leather.

If bidding, I would email to see if the strap might be maker/date stamped as well.

If I had a '24 Bern luger made in the 1st. year of its production in 1918, I would certainly go after this piece.

Ugly prices as you can find same holsters directly in Switzerland for around 100 USD (1900,1906) and 75 USD (1929), with all original military markings...

Thierry,

Some of the holster sellers in CH have become "wiser" and their new higher prices reflect that.

But you are correct; much nicer-conditioned Swiss luger (and revolver) holsters can be purchased directly from CH.

Here is a photo of some of mine...I have added a few more, since this photo was taken about 2 years ago...

I'll try to make a picture as soon as possible, as I have plenty of these holsters, all with spare mag, obtained with each luger I have, mint condition.

Hello Pete
One question. CH, what does that stand for? I would love to have a chance to find a holster for my 1906 Cross and sunburst Luger in the condition you have in your pictures. Can you give me some direction?
Thanks

Tom

Sorry, Tom...CH is a short version for Switzerland...just like DE is for Germany.

Keep an eye out on the Swiss and German versions of e-Bay for search terms such as "schweizer", "armee", "zubehor", and "pistolentashe".

Same for the German e-Gun auction site :

http://www.egun.de/market/index.php

The Swiss auction at Keppler has holsters from time to time as well :

http://www.kesslerwaffen.ch/

Keep an eye on the Classifieds section on the Swiss Rifles web site as well :

http://pub18.ezboard.com/btheswissri...ommessageboard

Also, you might try contacting these fellows in CH whom are both really nice fellows to deal with :

Andrew Zink at :

http://www.augustus.ch/

Stefan Mahrer at :

http://www.swissdagger.com/index.html

Swiss holsters do show up at USA gun shows, but usually in somewhat worn condition.

Hope this info. helps you with your search.

Thanks a Bunch. You really gave me more than I expected. I appreicate all the info. I bought a swiss holster on E-bay a while back, paid dearly for it, its Ok but not really up to what I really wanted for my 1906 Cross and Sunburst. I will watch all the sites you gave me, thanks once again

Pete and all, the "CH" actually stands for "Cantons Helvetica". The Swiss country is divided into several "states", or "cantons".

CH: Confederation Helvetique....
Or "Federal State of Helvetica", english tranlation.

Doc,

I think CH is the abbreviation for Switzerland.

" Confoederatio Helvetica, the country's official Latin name, means Helvetic Confederation. "

Here is a map of the cantons :
