Default Unit marking ID help

I have a 1918 Erfurt with a (unit marking?) of 93.R.9.9 on the grip frame. Can anyone help me identify this? Thanks.

Augsburger, is the letter an upright Roman R, or a script Italic R?

Hi Glen, Your Luger is marked to:

93rd Infantry Regiment. 9th Company weapon # 9.

The 93rd was part of the 8th Infantry Division.

Glen,

A brief battle history.

1914 - France and Belgium

Louvain , Brussels, Solesmes and Soissons

1915 - Monchy, Heavy loses at the battle of Loos.

1916 - Somme. More heavy loses.

1917 - Serious loses due to British Raids and artillery fire.

Champagne and back to Belgium

1918 - Battle of Lys

Ypres and Le Catelet.

The 8th was recruited from Saxony , Duchy of Anhalt, and part of Thuringia. Considered a first class division. Made up of young effective troops of high morale.
