Default Shooter Prices

Gun shop in Atlanta, GA. that specializes in collectible firearms has what are advertised as `shooter grade` Lugers starting at $699.99 and up. These are said to be `mostly matching`, refinished, and are imports with a Russian property mark. Said to be captured during WW2 and rebuilt and put into Russian storage for any future needs. See Lugers on Ralph Shattucks web site advertised as `shooter grade` running at around $450.00 or so in about the same condition. Why the big difference in price? Am looking for a Luger with some collectibility that will be safe to shoot without hurting its value. Local gun shows only have high dollar collector grade which are very nice but more than I am willing to spend, also back to hurting the value of a true collectors piece by shooting it. Who would be a trustworthy dealer for what I`m looking for? Afraid the Atlanta, GA. shop wants more than the pieces in question are actually worth.

You can't go wrong dealing with Ralph Shattuck or Tom Hellerman

Dok,

I had just discovered my error, and my sincere apology to Tom. I have done business with, and highly recommend him, even if I had a memory lapse. (I shouldn't try to participate on this board so soon after mowing my yard! Obviously the physical activity rattles my brain.)
