Well, I disagree
![]() Never seen a scriptic "a" with the leading edge that raises 1/3 or more above the body of the "a". Let me look again.... Yep - It's still an "d".... ![]() JD |

I think it's a D.
Course what the hell do I know? I sold the only 1916 A suffix pistol I owned.

I can't tell.
(Its four AM, I can't sleep cause dogs are raising hell over something in the woods and I've been on muscle relaxers and pain killers two weeks cause of my back. Have to replace a window today and cut up several downed trees from the storm. God knows that I'm better off than a whole lot of other folks though). I can go wake my wife up and ask her which one she thinks it is. rk |

I think it may be a rare prototype x. Are there gold inlaid initials on it anywhere? :-)

It's a "d". Surely someone on the forum has another '16 dated DWM with an "a" suffix that could post a pic to verify.....

Ed,
I just picked up a 1916 DWM, s/n 5115d and the suffix letter is identical to yours. My digital camera did the dead dog routine earlier this week, so I'll send you a scan next week after I buy a replacement. Lyn |
