I think this is very cool; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...545140030&rd=1

but I sure can't imagine it being from the 1930's

This is the 3rd. time through for this "repro"...also remember that "Kenny" commented on the LF that he would not defend any of his offerings to the members on the Forum...

The first time it was listed, the reserve was not met but bids up to $ 865 were submitted :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...540370996&rd=1

Last time it was offered with a $ 895 opening bid...if I recall correctly...I do not think anyone bid on the 2nd. offering.

I first put this in the members only area, but thought I would place it here. Somehow I missed the other postings on it.

It is just too nice, and he stated it was from the 1930's, even a really nice holster has age from 70-80 years...

I showed it to my wife and she said, aren't those pencil markings where it was cut? I don't know, but hmmmmm

I think this would make a nice "template" piece if a leathersmith wanted to buy it to crank out some more...might be worth a bid of $ 200 just for that use alone...or even to house an Interarms carbine from the 1970's era...

Nothing wrong with calling a piece a repro or modern day piece and having folks price it accordingly...that would be the honest thing to do...

Wonder if my airborne comrade in arms can make one using those pics?

I have an '02 carbine due in tamarra and may just keep it; if I do, I'd certainly like a case like that to carry it in when I took it pig hunting.

Ed, I think you are not reading the offer correctly, he says it's from AFTER the 1930' era, maybe 1995??

Herb,

You are right about the current ad text...

But the 1st time it ran the ad read as :

" WWII Luger 1902 or 1920 Carbine Scabbard Rig. Mfg in the 1920-1930 era. "

Very true, but if you say it is WW2, then it needs to be from before 1945, hence the 70 years of age
