Mitchell Stainless Aimco repair
Gentlemen,
Just received my 1993 Mitchell SS Luger from OFM Corp following repair of the trigger not re-setting. It appears that what they did was grind down the face of the top pad of the trigger lever a bit, then grinding away several thousandths of material just below the top pad of the trigger lever in order to allow the trigger bar stud to pass in front of the lever. The overall grinding area is 1/4 inch down from the top of the trigger lever. It resets just fine now. LarryT |

Good News Larry... Would it be possible for you to post digital photos of the area of the repair?
... It might interest many here on the forum to see the results of their work.

Hi John,
I will go to Mr. Tinker's post on how to post. I do have a digital camera but I'm not sure I can get such a close up, but will try. By the way, thanks for the tips on making aftermarket magazines fit. I took the grips off, got out my files, and made every one of them lock-in and fit the SS (proud of myself). I don't know if I mentioned that OFM wants $75 each for SS mags. LarryT |

John,
I've tried to figure out how to upload but no luck cause it said it had to be a gif or jpeg but all three are jpeg. Then I used the whole file name for the photo rather than just larryt2.jpg, etc. and it said I exceeded the KB max of 200. Mine are about 468 KB. I can email them to you if you would like to try your luck. Let me know. LarryT |

Larry, you need to make them smaller.
The jpg or jpeg are all the same thing, and you have to use the entire file name. You can mail them to me, I sent you a PM, then after I shrink them for you, you can try and post one yourself if you'd like? Ed

Sorry Ed, I got both photos uploaded, copied and pasted and neither one would display in the Preview Post. I tried to email you again both with the "underscore" and without and both bounced back on me.
LarryT Hey it worked for me! So, e-mail got to me, it IS an underscore, <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> Ed |

Larry, it is in the twist of the grimmace for your face that does the trick...

Thanks guys. Now I have to find a range to try it out. A very experienced shooter just called me and I got some tips on ranges near me.
