The price isn't particularly out of line at this point, but we'll see what it's fetching in a couple of weeks.
I am up too late, as usual... What makes it Franken? I'd say the quality of the engraving is quite good and represents a pant-load of work. Anyone familiar with what this style/motif might be called? This Feuer business is new to me, so I hope someone can make a more informed call on why it's there. It means "fire," of course, but you can see that the safety bar is actually making the gun Gesichert with the lever in this position. ("Knock-knock!" "Who's there?" "Max." "Max who?" "Max No Sense.")

Ha! When I read that, I immediately thought of that double-barreled Luger made by Wehrly [IIRC]. When I saw this was an engraved Krieghoff, I was disappointed.
Just shows how different points of view affect our perceptions. (To me, 'Purdy' is a shotgun).

I like it, although the quality is not what I would consider factory? The striking at the front serial number is a bit odd, usually you see where they block it off on side and front?
Little too much engraving for me, but I still think a decent example, of course, if it ruined a HK, that is irritating. I have just a frame for a Simson I have thought of doing this too - or use a DWM frame. but that is way down the road. |

I loved the art work, myself.
I'm questioning the frame - it has a "Mauser Hump", which I didn't think was characteristic of a Krieghoff ? The "FEUER" was a pretty stupid mistake, too. Shouldn't the safety bar be leaning in the other direction? (forwards?) |

Merry x-mas to all .
Ad states it is a mauser with HK toggle train and grips . Looks to be an accurate description to me . |
