Hi Jens, Welcome to the forum! All Imperial Navy equipment is rare and desirable. Both your holster and pouch are what collectors call Type 2, designed to be belt worn and introduced late in the war for Naval Marines fighting in Flanders. Both the holster and pouch were brown originally, but were dyed black, probably late in 1916. Unfortunately, the holster is missing the tool pouch and the lid for the cleaning rod sheath. May we see a close-up of the maker's mark on the pouch and a photo of the cleaning rod? Regards, Norm

Jens..I have a client who just bought one almost identical to this only in much better surface condition.
Yours in this condition..missing parts needing restoration etc. is worth about $500-600 IMO. The rod is likely good but would have to have closeup photo's to absolutely authenticate it. Is the rod steel? The double magazine pouch is a nice one and nicely marked..a type 2 like Norm says. In decent condition. I would be happy to pay $350 for it but it might bring more on the open market.

Jens..The rod looks original and from what I know about late rods..correct for the 1918 period. The brass zig zag rod was known to be earlier and steel was the more available material later in the war.
Stands to reason that brass would be an important strategic metal and wasted on something as mundane as a pistol cleaning rod. If this rod proves to be authentic and I have not much reason to doubt it..I would value it at $350-400 and again..in the right venue it could go higher. These prices quoted are what I would pay if I found these items available to me at a gunshow.
