Ever since I was a teenager in the late '50s, I wanted a Luger. Family and career postponed my quest. Now that I'm retired, I have been looking for a shooter grade Luger preferably a DWM. This forum has been invaluable in my search. Honest questions and answers plus excellent advice. I live in S.E. Iowa and retired from J.I.Case Co. As an aside, I build custom wood display boxes for any handgun in my own workshop.

Yes... Welcome from an American living in the Netherlands! I agree with your assessment- this forum has been of enormous help for me as well. I was also looking for a good Luger shooter... and found a fine one through a forum member here. Details in "Found s nice shooter!" here in this section- a few threads farther down the list. You have come to the right place! My story sounds a lot like yours.... I come from New York.

Hi Tom, and welcome.
Are these french fitted chases? Your example looks quite nice. You'll find a dedicated team of Luger enablers here. You'll be in good company... Now, about contacting "ground control"... Check our FAQ PDF files for some good background on Lugers. Marc

None of my boxes are "french fitted". The one shown in my OP is made of solid red oak with a brown felt fabric over dense foam which will hold your item securely. It also has a 2 inch lidded storage area for cleaning stuff and/or ammo.
