P08 Magazine with Americal Eagle?
Greetings all!
I am a very small collector (one pistol), though I have been interested in Lugers for over 20 years. Recently I acquired a Luger magazine that I have never seen before and was hopeing someone had some info on it. The magazine is nickel with a wood base. What makes the magazine interesting is that there is an American Eagle symbol press/cut in on each of the magazine indented finger pulls. I've looked in various books on Luger magazines and have never seen one or seen a reference to one. This is not a home made job and looks origional. Any ideas about it? Thanks |

I have seen some carvings or other things in the pull, but not an eagle.
Would love to see pictures of it? Welcome to the forum! Ed

JTD is correct, this is a stainless magazine which was issued with the circa 198x stainless Lugers sold by Stoeger. These Lugers have a frame machined to accept the flat sided mags. The base is some sort of dark brown composite material with the cast eagle in each side
These mags will not insert into the p08 original Lugers , too wide , and also the mag release cut is different level Also will not fit most of the non-Stoeger stainless Lugers ie aimco etc marked stainless Bill |
