Default Krieghoff Magazine Proofs

When did Krieghoff start using the upside down L2 eagle proof on Krieghoff magazines? A brief look through Gibson’s book shows them right side up but I have heard and seen here that they are upside down in relation to the serial number.

No one knows anything? Really?

This forum is frustratingly dead.

This may not be the best approach to seeking help

I’ve searched here, searched online, emailed a dealer who specializes in Lugers, and scanned the Gibson book for an hour (the index is impossible). If I had not put in the effort I wouldn’t ask here.

Rather than gatekeeping the answer, it would be kind of you gentlemen to provide an answer instead of “piss off”.

I would only buy HK mag if the E2 is stamped upside-down and above the serial number stamping.

But with so many faked mags, the shape of the E2 and the shape of the numbers must be correct too.

Thank you!

In your opinion does a faked mag cast doubt on the authenticity of the firearm? The one I’ve been looking at has a few things odd about it besides the faked mag. The issues could be explained away but the faked mag is casting doubt, for me, on the correctness of the pistol itself.

post gun fotos if you can. gun may be okay and someone thought it needed a $ boost with a mag. some guns even have 2 fakey mags.

You can even see-find original mags with a faked gun. Not just only with HK stuff. But lugers in general
