Farsi Artillery Rig
i have a Farsi (I think) Artillery rig.
Can someone tell me what the G Romer 7 Hussar Reg. marking means? it is on the side of the board stock. thanks, CB |

Remove the holster from the stock and make detailed photos of the stock. My initial thoughts are that the marking you have shown on the stock is English.

The holster & stock carry strap and attaching leathers are not German.

Both the brits and the french had a 7th Hussar Rgt but only the british 7th (Queens Own) Hussars served during WWI and fought against the Turks. They were great at destroying Turkish re-supply lines.

......and the Germans had a 7th Hussar Regiment that served in WWI.

Regardless of the seeming unit mark..photo's of the stock are necessary.

A photo of the holster, full front and back, would also help. I agree that this is not German leather and may even be "Pakistani".
