Really stupid magazine question
At one point I saw a modern parabellum magazine with a black plastic bottom with the concentric circles of the old navies. I thought it looked relatively nice. Anybody know who makes these? Or, better yet, anybody know who makes the least expensive (yet reliable) replacement mags? Wood bottoms would be nice (wishful thinking).

These are manufactured in Italy by Mec Gar. They are the best modern magazines I know of, they can be had for $25 or so. I have several which I use regularly with no malfunctions. I have seen one or two other (different) aftermarket mags with wood bottoms, they were very lightly made and one (Triple-K?) only held seven rounds.
I -think- that there are resource people here on the Forum who can provide you with wood bottoms which may replace the plastic ones, with some work. --Dwight |

Note to all: I currently stock the following NEW Luger mags, in addition to most types of used originals: Triple K with black plastic bottom @$20 or wood bottom @$30; Mec-Gar w/concentric circle BPB @$25; Flatsided wood bottomed Stoegers @$40. 636-447-3006 or Hellerarms@webtv.net
