Default DWM 1920/1920 rework

I picked this up over the weekend. It is a 1920/1920 DWM all numbers matching (except magazine) P08. It is my 4th Luger in my collection. Presents much better than the pictures from the auction. Very clean in and out and very tight gun. I disassembled, cleaned out some sticky gook and took some good hi-res photos.

Have been told it is an HZa rework because of the markings on the frame and barrel. There appears to be obliterated unit markings on the front of the frame. Always open to anyone's knowledge and opinions on this forum.

Nice looking 1920 chamber dated DWM military Luger. Also Weimar government property stamped. Not too many Lugers were produced during this time period with the large surplus of military weapons stored in armories from the Great War. Unfortunately somebody took the time to obliterate the Reichswehr army unit marking on the front grip. That part of this weapon's history is lost.

Nice addition to your collection

According to Gortz & Sturgess, "Hzajt20" shows that your Luger was repaired at a facility in the city of Ingolstadt located on the Danube River in upper Bavaria.
