Smile Just got a "new" shooter

Not sure where to put this post - but...

I paid a visit to Mr. Shattuck this weekend for my Fathers' Day present. He helped me select a 1920 - Wiemar era - shooter in 9mm. Nice piece - sits real "sweet" in the hand!!! Can't wait to take it to the range. Has lanyard loop & stock lug, excellent condition. Mr. Shattuck was very patient with educating me about the guns and about a 1936 holster, 1906 cleaning rod, and 3 magazines I already owned, and very gracious to my wife & son who accompanied me. The picture of his "den" on the web doesn't do justice to the real room. That itself was an experience, and Mr. Shattuck is a gentleman!

Yes, Ralph has been very nice and friendly both times I visited him. His collection and "sales" room is amazing!

BTW Jerry, you can always correct any mistakes you make in your posting by clicking on the pad of paper and pencil icon and then you as the owner of the posting can correct anything you want! I corrected your 1906 and deleted the 2nd posting, hope that was okay?

Hi Jerry.B, congratulations on your new Luger!! I just came back from Ralph's Luger Emporium with a 1939, Code 42, 2nd Variation. It sure is nice to be able to do the touchy, feely thing, isn't it!!

Whenever I come home, disappointed, from my local gun shops where I typically find a draught in lugers, I always pull up this photo of Ralph's WOL's...Bob Simpson has a nice photo on their web site, as well of another wonderful luger room...

Regards,

Pete...

Ahhhhh, I feel better, and you're right I just happened to be using Bob's Carbines as background picture for the last couple of weeks....

Yeh, but it's not enough just to see the picture or have it on the bacground-wallpaper. It's touching, comparing, sighting down the barrel, and drooling...
