It's a 1929 DWM sneak. There is a ledge above where the sear bar sits and on top of that there is a "bent clip thingy" that can slightly swivel on a pin towards the back. A pinhole can be seen towards the front when it is swiveled out which lines up with a pinhole in the sear bar below it.
I'm guessing it is a type of lubrication point cover. Is it removable? Asking because I'll be taking it in to get the Chrome plating taken off and don't know if this particular part was plated while in place or as a separate part. Thanks! |

If it is what I think you are describing, it is a police sear safety.
