i need some info abought a gun

My Grandpa had a luger and i am restoring it. I am trying to figer out what all the markings mean. Can some one help me out? on the barel there is a date i beleve 1936, then all over the gun there is the # 4241

Look to your left and go to general, the FAQ is a great start, and the markings can be found out by looking at the charts.

I would be very careful about "restoring" the gun. If it is all matching, any touch up, could make it a shooter and not a collector.
