and sometimes the names are different, but same cartridge, uh lets see

9mm short (380)
9mm kurz (380)
9mm Japanese (for the T26)
9mm parabellum (luger of course)

uhhhhh, I could cheat and look in my cartridges of the world

if you are saying 38 special, then that would include 357 magnum, as they are the same diameter

38 Super

If your friend actually wants to shoot .380 auto in his Makarov rather than the 9x18mm Makarov ammo, there are .380 Auto replacement barrels which are relatively easy to install on the Makarov.

Don't forget the 9x21 (I think) cartridge which is the civilian replacement for the 9mm Parabellum (forbidden) in Italy.

Although it is chambered for the 9mm Makarov cartridge, the Hungarian PA-63 is not the same pistol as the Russian and East German Makarov pistol. I do not know if there are any .380 auto barrels for the PA-63.

Snail shooting!!!

Damn you Tac. I've injured myself laughing.
My second will be contacting your second!

(I have this picture in my mind of Tac racing around trying to get the drop on those clever snails dashing back and forth about the yard.)

What was the 9mm cartridge used in the Spanish Destroyer Carbine? Was that 9mm Largo? or something else?

and how about the obsolete 351 Winchester autoloading cartridge?... I guess that could be considered a 9MM as well.

I always wanted one of those Destroyer carbines, but never found one I could afford, or when I found one, I didn't have the money! I wanted to convert it to 9mm Luger.
