Default Re: Matching Mags

George, what they mean is the magazine serial matches that serial number on the weapon frame AND it has to be the right variation for the particular Luger variation. An early Luger generally has a wood bottom mag, then a early/late Mauser has an aluminum bottom and the last one had black plastic mag bottoms. There are other variaitons such as a nickel body, blued mag body, that make it more interesting. There are many types of Magazines and the magazine type and serial must match to the frame serial and Luger type. Lots of fakery to make a non matching mag, a matching mag to renumber it. Most are easy to spot! Pity this happens but a matching mag adds more value and when money is around so are the theives and fakers. ~Thor~
