Default unit mark HSc holster

I'll try posting here and see if I get a response, didn't in "unit markings"....so it's a fair condition HSc holster under flap marked "HDP 111" the gun is in mint condition and there is just the standard proofs on it, no unit marks.....can anyone help with this unit mark...thanks

Hi Howard, That's an odd one. If an HSc holster, it must be a police marking. Maybe Don can come up with something.

Thanks for the laugh, and why must it br police, can't it bt military....we'll see if Don logs on......how about a 100% matching sneak "L. Sch. 337.", coming into the fold from Canada....can't get enough sneaks to make me happy....

I don't believe that it's military, because they ceased unit marking prior to about 1933, I think. The police continued into 1937, if I'm not mistaken. Also, it looks more like a police mark, and could be a post war mark.

Howard,

I'm afraid I don't have a clue about the holster mark HDP 111. I have not seen a police unit marked HSc.

L.Sch.337. represents the Landj�¤gerei of the Schleswig district. I would be very interested in particulars of this gun for my database: DWM or blank toggle; sear and/or mag safeties; serial no. & suffix; WaA66?

thanks Don....Luger is "u" suffex... DWM...blank toggle and chamber....sear and cut mag safetys, SN#4412.....gun is not yet here...thanks for all you help....now back to the shop to pay for it.....
