Default Prinz ist gehere

Hey guys, I picked up Prinz today. He's a 1918 DWM, which Ralph had offered at a very reasonable price in place of Toad. I am totally pleased with Prinz and want to thank all of you Forum members who suggested I contact Ralph; and I particularly want to thank Ralph here in the Forum. Prinz is obvously an aristocrat, matching pistol serials, slightly worn around the edges, some proofmarks sharper than others, a nicked left grip under the safety (which reminds me of a Heidelburg dueling scar); but generally in much better shape after 83 years than I am after 69. Together, we shot 50 rounds of American Eagle (Federal Cartridge Co./115 gr FMJ) off a portable pistol rest at a standard 25 yard target. Most were 10s and 9s with a few 8s. Many of you could probably shoot a tighter group, but I was more than happy (particularly with variable focus lenses and other rationalized lame excuses). I hope Prinz was as happy to be out and active again. Thanks again, guys. Regards to all, Ad.

Hi, Robert: "Ad" has been my nickname ever since I can remember; except when it was "Little Ad" and my father was "Big Ad". We are both named "Addison", as is my number one son; who Dad called "Tertious" until one day while he was three, he called out his grandfather and told him to stop teasing him. Since then he's been the only one the family calls "Addison" (except when my wife is mad at me...).

Oh, Lord. I see by your e-mail address you are probaly in Germany. "Gehere" was my feeble attempt at a Katzenjammer Kids/vaudeville comic German dialect; i.e., "Prinz is here". Apparently, I missed the mark widely. Sorry (but thanks for reading my post and enquiring. Cordially (and apologetically) Ad.
