Okay, first off, please forgive me if this subject has been beat to death and I MISSED the boat on it. WHY O WHY are the belt loops slanted on a hardshell P08 Holster. I thought for a long time that the holster would be worn on the left side and it would cant the holster a bit so it could be withdrawn in more of a cross draw fashion with the right hand. BUT, after seeing many old pictures with the holster carried on the right side I am REALLY CORNFUSED! Anybody got a good idea on this one? THANKS!

Ted, this is my absolute definitely unoffical opinion, I think its because it causes less resistance sliding on/off a belt if at an angle than if straight. Not as likely to bind or for the edges to roll over.

I have a theory. I think, since the holsters were worn so high on the waist and forward. It made it easier to draw the pistol. It also makes the holster more readily worn on either side.

I think it has something to do with the "Coriolis effect" caused by the Earth's rotation.

Maybe they were designed by a one eyed holster-machen. "I don't know? Looks schtraight to me!" <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
