Managing lugers in my safe with little inventory tags showing make, model, year made, price I paid, when I bought it, etc. is pretty easy to do.
But now that I caught the accoutrements bug with holsters, spare, magazines, magazine pouches, take down tools, straps, drift pins, etc., I haven't decided how best to inventory these pieces with similar tags. This is made even more difficult when these items do not store in my gun safe along the associated pistol. Just wondering how some of our seasoned members (i.e. PC for old dudes... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> ) manage such items. I joke about the "seasoned" part as I approach my 50th. in a few weeks... I am trying to come up with a storage and inventory management system that my family could follow in the event I pass away and leave them to know what I have and to know what accessories pieces belong to a specific pistol in my collection that compose a "rig", but are not stored in the safe together... I will plan to do a PC database file to track it all...just more interested in how you folks store, bag, box, and tag all the loose items that belong togethter...in a rig ensemble. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and help ! Regards, Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" /> |
