Post [OT] Colt double action revolver collectors?

<img border="0" alt="[offtopic]" title="" src="graemlins/offtopic.gif" /> I happen to own a Colt Trooper (first model) in .22lr caliber. I am told this is a rare piece... It is a full size 357 magnum frame in rimfire caliber...

Is there anyone out there a Colt revolver collector who might know how many of these were made and what ballpark the value might be?

I got this in a trade about 32 years ago. It is in pretty good shape. And it has led a pretty sheltered life. If there is any interest, I will post a photograph.

John, I have book on Colts, I can at least tell you approx., what year it was made, e-mail or post the serial number.

Here is some basic information:

Years of manufacture 1954-1969 serials 1-84616 shared witht the 357 model, then from 1953 to the present serials 906351 - 938520, then J1001 on up.
