Here is an interesting one.
![]() I at first assumed this was a pacific or the like importing, but see upfront, it is germany stamped, yet has a Virginia Import marking? ![]() I bought it as a 30 luger shooter, so no large amount of money spent. The witness marking is kiltered, but I find it interesting that it has one? It is marked in the commerical manner, all the serial numbering is hidden, but shows the last two on the rear toggle, the trigger and the take down lever. It is marked with a crown N on the left side, and on the toggle. ![]() ![]() |

Possibly was for export and diverted? Is the barrel numbered to the gun? Is this the one that has been relined?

Doug, I picked up two today! Both from a friend of mine.
I haven't shot it yet, and the barrel has NO markings on it, which bothers me a bit, but like I said, the front sight appears correct? Or is that me wanting it to be! Ed |

Ed, The barrel band looks to be overly large under the front sight.....Maybe just a lot of taper to the barrel. Is there a rear sight? Jerry Burney

Eight inch barrel, although I haven't compared it to an artillery yet, and although close Jerry, it is a bit chunky for a front sight.
The sight on the rear is a normal luger open sight, so I imagine it will shoot off, but will be fun. Ed |

I've found that most of these long barrelled Weimar era commerical have unnumbered barrels, which is correct. During this period, both Stoeger and Pacific Arms catalogs offered 7.65 and 9mm barrels from 4 to 22 inches, either separately or install on one of their new imports, which probably arrive in the US with a numbered 7.65x95 or 98mms from the factory.
