Dear friends,
Please look at these interesting acceptance gauges. Governmental inspector used these items for the P08 and cartridges acceptance starting form 1908 up to the end of WWII. In the picture background a description of these items extracted from the official document â??Vorschrift fur die Stempelung der Pistole 08â?. The first one, even if it is rare, is well known. A complete description is available in my book (http://lugerlp08.free.fr/). It was used to check the firing pin. The second one is, in my understanding, very rare. This is the first time I meet it. They are cartridge acceptance gauges. According to the Stempelung official document one is marked with a N the other one with a G. N means â??normalerâ? so the correct one. G means â??grossterâ? so the incorrect one. I bought the cartridge-gauges few days ago in Germany so, unfortunately, they are not described in my book. Maybe in the second edition!! Let me know your opinion on these interesting items. ![]() Ciao Mauro
