Question Info about Luger model 1906

Hi folks,

I just purchased my first Commercial Luger. It is a DWM 1906, chambered to .30 Luger, serial number 29692 (all matching), around 70% of original blue.

The most interesting thing on this pistol is the fact that the word "GESICHERT" is missing under the safety, where the gun was clearly polished.

I´d like to know: is it common? how many have this modification? when it was manufactured? price range?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards,

Douglas.
