New looking magazine, old stopper number?

Have a magazine, blued, looks very recent, but on the aluminum stopper, has a serial number 3292 and "x" in cursive below, and numeral 2 on top. Another Frankenstein? Imatation? Works well, but too new looking...

It sounds like a 1939 police magazine.
