I got a p38 recently with a nice hans rohmer softshell holster and 2 mags, the pistol is in great condition and was said to be a police p38 due to the eagle l marking. Everything I can tell seems good accept the eagle l marking on the left side seems blurry or double stamped and there is an eagle n marking on the other side which seems conflicting. Can anyone lend any information?

The Eagle/N would be a commercial proof.
The Eagle/L (not i), a police marking. There were several batches of police P38s with different properties. Photos would help. |
