Post New to forum

I'm brand new here, usually hang out over at Tuco's. Just began my search for a WWII era P-08.
My father has a bring back that to our knowlege has never been fired, my uncle was there when an arsenal with unissued stock was pilfered. He has hinted it could be mine, but he's 82 and not willing to part with it yet so I guess I'm on my own. I'll probably buy one or two from Ralph to start with. How accurately does he rate his pieces? TIA. Art

Art1,
If there are any discrepancies in a pistol, a lot of dealers will claim that they are the "third party" and were not aware of this or that.

If you are new to Lugers, it is best to deal with collectors. They are fully aware of the characteristics of their pieces and will deal fairly with you. If a collector is in bad need of money, then you must beware, but as a normal course of events, you will be much more safe.

Art1,

Take a look at the "For Sale" section of the Forum. There is usually several Lugers for sale at decent prices. As Wes stated, dealing with a collector gets you information on the pistol that is probably more accurate than some dealers. Also, the "Links" section gives the name of several dealers that are reputable too.

Art,

You might also want to jump down to the "Shooting & Reloading" section, for a message thread titled "Decent Shooter on Auction".
