wood stock(s)

Looking further into my newly purchased "42 BYF" , It has excellent wood grips, but the only marking is on the left grip ,a small "v"?
Is it normal on an all matching luger to not have number matching grips?

We commonly see un-numbered grips, particularly on the very late guns. Don't sweat it.
