I have a 1916 DWM SN 6104 d that came with an aluminum base magazine SN 8311 h.
Will try to post pictures. Can someone tell me what years it may have come from and who made it ? Would trade if someone has a matching gun and a need for it. I could use a sideplate with 04 on it and a magazine with 6104 d.

Hi Allen,
In answer to your questions, your magazine dates from 1937/1938 and it was made by Mauser. Collectors call it an Army Type 2. Norm |

Also, the aluminum-base magazine you have is also the spare magazine for whichever gun had had it originally, as indicated by the + under the number and the letter on it.
