Exclamation Luger replacement front sight- GT's project

Received the sample of the taller front sight as delivered to GT.
I believe this will be followed by the standard height- which I have compared it with here. Then by even taller sights for "sighting in" those high POI lugers!

It is a beautiful job!

First word comes to mind is Wow! It is really well executed; the dovetail is prefect, as are the serrations, and the finish is nice too.

Check out the pictures below, the "worn" example is a used standard luger sight- that was extracted from its barrel in nice shape- no small feat.

A side by side comparison with each in the dovetail of a spare barrel, is also shown.

Well done for sure, I'm sure these will be much appreciated!

Thanks GT!

Default More info!

Hello to all, I didn't know this, or I was too lazy to look, but, as you can tell by Dons pictures, there is little room for error? The sight blades are a perfect fit and they are made / engineered from the original print, and are designed as to be installed from Right to Left, and are so tapered several tenths (less than .001") on the dovetail...
So, drive in from the right, ( muzzle pointed away) and back out from the left, never tap thru?... Best to all, til...lat'r....GT

So...Are the .250" sights taller than OEM???

I think Tom meant standard as in what was written above.

The first "standard" luger sight was "0.200" then changed to "0.225" to lower the POI, these first GT made sights are "0.250" which will further lower the POI compared with either.

Very nice!

Seems like Lugers were sighted in for long range shooting, so it would be neat to put this on one of my shooters and finally have a Luger that hits the point I'm aiming at. Has anybody tried it out to see how much it moves the point of impact at different distances?
