Luke, if you please would you be able to put names to all the smiling faces? That's for those of us that didn't make this trip, but have plans for the next.

Mustang, great picture, the wifes name is a little unusual, it's NatHalie, no biggie, I appreciate you posting the pic. Would you send it to my e-mail so I can get a decent print? rimfire@color-country.net Thanks, Herb

Nice picture !
Looks very much like the tail of a Heinkel 111. This must be a Spanish built (CASA) version. Where was this picture taken ? Rgds, Alain Capel |

It is the Spanish version, fully restored, and the only one flying in the world. We got to see it flying and landing, then toured the inside. Picture was taken in Phoenix, Az at he base of the Commemorative Air Force.

I work in aviation and we had till a couple of years ago a Spanish Heinkel 111 stored on our airfield near Paris.
It was sold to the US. It needed a full restoration but today with the right funds more and more projects are being rebuilt. A pilot friend of mine living in Phoenix told me about a flight he made in a Spanish built 111 in the US with one engine out. I will show him the pics next time I see him, but I guess it could very well be this one. Rgds, Alain |
