Looks like about 1/2 Lahti to me. Can you post close-ups of where the barrel butts into the receiver? Holster is also Lahti.
Interesting combination... dju |

That does look a little out of the ordinary, doesn't it? The part that looks like a hex shape would be really handy for changing barrels! It also has the setback barrel band, which was discussed not too long ago.

Yes, it's one style of 'Lahti' barrel with a spacer to adapt to the Luger barrel extension. The Lahti barrel thread is the same as the Luger, but longer (pic below; Lahti on top, Luger on bottom). This is an interesting adaptation, as the timing/headspace might need 'adjusting'. The extractor notch might need some filing as well. The Lahti extractor notch is on the side but wouldn't need any work, same for the accelerator cut on the opposite side. (The notch on the top of the Lahti barrel is for a loaded chamber indicator which was discontinued but the barrel cut remained).
I would be somewhat wary of the headspace issue, but it looks do-able. Never seen it before. ![]() Edit: A quick comparison gives the dimensions shown below for the spacer. My Lahti barrels wouldn't quite screw into the Luger receiver all the way, the end of the Lahti barrel might need turning down a few thousandths. Might need some other work as well (re-chamber; trim to length; etc). Spacer ~.162" thick ~.858" OD ~.706" ID [slip-on fit]

To really help, we need good left, right and top pictures, full sides and top. Then the more close up of any markings and the serial number.
This is not enough to go on except to say, its a WW2 upper with a Lahti barrel.... ![]() Ed

Thank you for all answers, this gun was offered to me described as a Mauser P08 with all original parts. Now I know enough to turn the seller down.

![]() Here's a great site on Lahti's - http://www.gotavapen.se/gota/m40/pist40_1.htm Page 2 has a good comparison of the late model barreled M40 and the early barreled model. (I have the early style M40). ![]()

The finnish army would have used Tikkakoski barrels. They made "authentic" luger barrels too.

My 'Husqvarna Vapenfabriks A. B.' M40 has the crown on the top of the 120mm curved-shoulder [not hex] barrel; crown over 'S.S.' inspection stamp on the rear of the gripframe under the recoil spring, and has the 'beveled' front sight blade. Long front sight band and coarse stepped sight ramp. Mine also has the accelerator, which Olle thought was odd for this pistol. All matching and I'm pretty sure is refinished [hot dip?] as it has no wear whatever.
