Default I lost my Friend

My Lola died in my arms Monday morning. She was only 8 years old. The Epileptic seizures finally took their toll on her small body. She was my friend, she loved me as much as I loved her and I will miss her.

I too am saddened by the loss of your best friend. They are only with us for such a short time, and bring such a wealth of love.

Steve, Sorry to hear about Lola..You had each other..and she had you all her life. We get what God gives us and he gave you 8 years of loyalty and love. I guess being the typical male I can count the times I have cried in my 64 years on one hand. I cried like a baby when my Onya died in my arms. They just do that to ya. Our little animal friends are the truly innocent, worthy of strong emotion. Hang in there..she will always be in your heart.

Sorry about your loss. Only us pet lovers know how much this hurts. When the pain lets up find a puppy. Hang in there. Bill

Steve, so sorry to hear this ,as others have stated these pets give unconditional love they stand by you thick and thin and there loyalty is boundless . Try to hold on to the great times and memories that the past 8 years have brought you.

I'm a little misty-eyed now as I remember my Sophie who also died in my arms. May the passage of time bring you a measure of comfort and peace.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. There's a good reason we refer to dogs as "man's best friend."

Steve,
I'm sorry for your loss. I know your pain well.

About 8 years ago my dad had to have "Carmen", our 6 year old chocolate Lab put to sleep because of inoperable intestinal issues. I still tear up when I think of that sweet, sweet girl. Sweetest, most intelligent dog I've ever known. When I die, I want to go where she went, heaven or not.

Let these facts comfort you, sir: there is almost no love more unconditional, nearly no bond stronger than that of a loving and loved dog. They are only with us for a short time, but that allows us to experience that joy several times in our lives, if we should be so lucky.

When the time comes and you are ready, go to a shelter and adopt. She will never be replaced or displaced in your heart, but you have the opportunity to love, and be loved again.

Sorry to hear about your loss Steve. Certainly the toughest part of having pets is saying goodbye. Hope the sadness becomes fond memories soon.

I also am sorry to hear of your loss Steve, she looks like a great pup. I've got two, that are with me night and day, I can't imagine.

Default loss....

Hi Steve, it's always hard...and with some pets, who literally become part of the family...even tougher! I remember one quote, "Try to be half the man your dog thinks you are!" kinda tells you how much love and trust exists between dog and master... I feel your sorrow... best to you, til...lat'r...GT....

My Golden Retreiver Calley lost a long battle of cancer. Her last day I brought the beach where she loved digging up sand crab and had scars on her black nose. My vet and friend put her to final peace in our home. I swore never to have to go through that again and will never have another! R.I.P. My heart felt condolences~~Eric

My condolences Steve, I too lost my dog several years back. Thought to myself that I would not have another for quite some time, and then my dad lost his fight with cancer. My dad's dog Hershey took to me afterwards...now I guess she's mine. Only thing we can do is treat them with the same love and kindness they give us for as long as we have them.

Steve,

So sorry you lost your best friend. To paraphrase what Jerry and others more eloquent than I have said we are blessed to have these wonderful creatures with us for whatever time we are given. Bill
