Markings ?????

I've got a BYF 41,all matching numbers matching mag.with bakelite grips...I've identified all markings but one.....It's a small circle with 8 lines coming out of it, it's on the barrel....I can't post pics of it...Thanks

Asterisque on barrel ?
Some tell it's like the RC on erfurt , the part is out of tolerance and should be reviewed in the factory before being accepted .
Seen also on P38 : got two on a slide
