Hello, I just wanted to share some better pictures of my Luger I bought recently, Hopefully these pictures are clearer and show the condition better than the previous pictures.

Due to the weather here in Oregon I still have not had chance to fire this pistol yet but hopefully I will be able to do so soon, After field stripping the gun everything appears to work as far as I can tell

All the numbered parts on this gun are stamped 68
Im wondering if this gun has been reblued at some point in time and also if the grips are original? the grips have no number and the magazine has no number or markings

The stock lug has been ground off at some time and painted with model paint

At first I thought I had perhaps paid too much for this Luger but now im not so sure and now as the money is long gone I don't really care im just happy to finally have a Luger. I was thinking about selling it so I could get a 9MM Luger instead but I think I will regret it if I do.

I have 300 rounds of .30 Luger ammo but I cant seem to find anymore for sale at the moment and as Im not set up to hand load my own ammo its a concern.

If I was to decide to sell this gun what would be a fair asking price? Also I would like to know what peoples opinions are on this pistol, is it in ok condition? poor condition? It looks ok to me but then again im a total newbie to this whole Luger game.

Thank you and Happy New year to all

I recently sold my 7.65 commercial Luger and I miss it, but I had to make room for a 1900AE [also 7.65]. The nice sharp edges on the sideplate are a plus, but the ground off stock lug is a big minus. To be honest, I would not pay more than $600 for any Luger with a ground off lug.

There is a guy on GB who welds new lugs on. John Sabato posted his ad/auction, it's an option for restoration.

Ground off lug, not to mention the front sight; anyway it might be a very good shooter after all, and the most important thing is that you enjoy your Luger at the range even if it's not that perfect as a collectible.
Good and safe shooting in 2014!

restoration can be quiet expensive
