Problems with shooting my P08

I have problems with my Luger and that is when put 5 rounds in my mag the first round fires but the next one (the fourth round)
gets stuck between the Breechlock. See photo.

But if i put four rounds in it i don't have this problem.

I think its the spring of the mag but if i use a othe mag i the problem to but not every time.

Can some help with this?

I'm not sold on the flat nosed bullets. Does the problem persist using the Winchester 115 gr. FMJ, or Selier and Beloit 115 gr. FMJ?
Now it is down to trying different magazines and different ammo.
No shortcut or easy answer here, I'm afraid.

Although I'm not a fan of those blunt nosed slugs either, I'm betting that your problems are magazine oriented. Get yourself a new Mecgar aftermarket magazine and it should solve those stovepipe issues.

First of all I must admit that I never shoot my Luger pistols, but since I like to go at least once a week to the range with other guns I can tell you to check first the magazine; than consider that the so called "stove pipe" is a malfunction generally caused by a load too light for the recoil spring, or a recoil spring too heavy for the load, an exractor worn or with not enough tension, a loose or damaged ejector.

The ammo is sub sonic, every one tels me thats the best for the luger.
A freind of mine has a luger to and shoots whit the Same ammo but he has no problem with it.

Well , if not ammo , 90% about jamming are from the magazine

Regardless of what your friend says, please go to either Sellier or Beloit or Winchester white box 115 gr. FMJ. Then start borowing your friends' magazines until you find the right combo. 147 gr. SubSonic loads MAY work for him but they are a crap-shoot. And more expensive.
And be certain that you are gripping the gun tightly.

Some Lugers will eat any ammo, while others are more careful about their diet.

Remember the acronym: A. M. M. O. (Ammunition, Magazine, Mainspring, Other, which includes things like modifications, tight shooting grip, etc.)

could be just a weak mag spring causing failures to feed . The breechblock cycles very fast and the next round must be in the correct position to go into the chamber when the breechblock starts going forward. I would try a mag with a stronger spring. GT does great mag work too.

Good ideas..I would check to see if the magazine lips are spread too far apart too..Often as a round is hit by the bolt face to be pushed forward, loose lips towards the front will allow the cartridge to rise a tad and as it does.. the force of the forward momentum and the rise combined will stovepipe the round. It does not take much for this to happen.
