Hi guys.
Got me a new P08 that has been heavily pimped by Håkan Spuhr back in the days, very nice looking but currently suffering from mismatched parts added some time later. The Breech block is missing a chip where the extractor has banged up after climbing over too many cartridge rims. I have noted that the extracor was riding at least a mm above the top of the breech hence figuring it is mismatched too. When I pulled it apart i found this strange extractor sitting there (closest to the chipped breech). I have never seen one with a ring before, the pin is slightly bent. On the underside are the letters CV followed by a swiss cross. Any ideas wheen/where this was used? The upper extractor is a comparison taken from my other DWM 1917. The gun has severe ejection problems, basically every shot has to be cycled manually. I will try dropping in the DWM extractor to see if it works better, it seems to fit the breech an awful lot better that the strange one. ![]() |
