In my broadcast work, I help prepare a program for monthly airing on our network that is distributed by the US Defense Department, DVIDS (their Defense Video and Image Distribution System).

This website makes the program "In the Fight" available online:

The program is filmed by military personnel that are in the field with our soldiers.

It highlights US humanitarian activities as well as battle situations our military personnel are dealing with. The packages are long form (rather than the 1-2 minute news bytes typically broadcast on US news) and give some insight into what our soldiers encounter.

I've found the program enlightening...
