Default Rebuilt artillery luger

Okay folks. I am a novice to say the least to Lugers, although I do have one in my collection. I ran across a 9mm Artillery Luger: re-blued, replaced DWM toggle with ERFURT, stamped 1917, bore fair, holster marked 1915...$1700.
Thank you in advance for opinions.

To see picture, go to: www.gretasguns.com click on handguns, and then type in the STOCK # 6747. Tell me what you think. I know you tell too much by photo, but look at description.

interesting offerings on the website under "older postings" link at bottom of used guns section

I think the more important questions are :
holster original ww1 , holster markings, condition, any repaired parts ?
bore conditon ?
have fine tune sights ?
gunsmith checked the headspace ( since seems toggle asy was imported from an erfurt )?
upper barrel and receiver match the frame ?
frame still have the stock lug ?
rear toggle actually an artillery ?

good luck
Bill

Okay. Copied your post. Now, what would be the dif between Artillery toggle and non Artillery? Also, fine tune sights. Accomplished with sight adj tool? If so, would there be an adjustment screw?
Thanks Marshall

Marshall, there was considerable hand fitting done when Lugers were manufactured.

Switching out a breech block (toggle assembly) could end up changing headspace as well as the sear fit. If done by a competent Luger gunsmith, it would be fine...

Fine tune sites have a small screw that is turned by a very small spanner. Both the front and rear sights can come that way.

There would not be a rear site on the rear toggle of an Artillery...

Thanks. I know the ladder type sight is on the barrel. I have seen the tool for sight adjustment on GUNBOARDS. I think I will not buy this one. The replacement of the toggle sort of turned me off. I have a friend who I am trying to convince he wants to sell me his DWM 1923 COMMERCIAL, 7.65 mm. marked GERMANY on right side of slide It's a little rough, but looks to be original.

Thank you again for your time and information.
