I need help with identification of a Luger holster as follows-
Black leather Maker's stamp is a stylized steer(cow) head with the letter F on the left and L on the right. Location is at the inside rear of the flap. Droop Eagle/2 stamp on the inside back of the holster. Number 4997 stamped on the front of the holster under the flap. No other marks. Any information/comments will be appreciated. Ken Jones |

could it be a mark of the tannery that delivered the splits to the holster factory?
Ben, yes..Good idea..The Germans did mark their leather hides in many ways. Still would like to see some photo's.

I am really dumb at this business. How do I insert images to the thread from a floppy disc? Yes, I still use an old Sony Mavica.

Put the floppy disk in your computer floppy drive, then upload from that to this site when you do your reply.
