S/N Grips on Banner Police???

Hi guys, looking at Police Banner 1939, Eagle K, soon, but need to know if wood grips should always be s/n to the gun to be right? thanks MT

According to my reference books only a few had the serial number on the grips. Bill

So ..no s/n would be better than a wrong s/n.... Also where there any that had red Krieghoff course checkered grips reported?
