I know there were many Russian/East German Lugers imported a few years back. I have read their conditions ranged widely from much mismatched to rarer completely matching Luger with the only blemish being the import mark. To what extent with this 'import mark' do it's value being compaired to a 'bring back' considering both in the same original condition? I take very few Russian Lugers were in their original condition, but I have no idea on that. A couple of other Lugers I have looked at lately on Gunbroker/Auction Arms, are being offered from a fellow located in Canada. Some are intresting, but he states that each have a very small, well hidden import mark on them. I have yet to ask him wether the import mark is for importing it into the USA from Canada, of from Europe to Canada. Anyway, I had the impression private ownership of handguns in Canada was illegl, but I guess not so. So would the Canadaian imports hurt a Lugers value much?
