Default Side plate correct?

Dear Experts

On this pistol on Gunbroker,

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=134882976

does this side plate look to be original? Would not a 1912 DWM have a crown/letter proof on it? The angular shape of the raised portion of the plate, to my relatively novice eyes, looks more like an East German replacement part manufactured in the 1950's(?)

Thanks,
Jeff

Looks good to me. Crown/Letter would indcate Erfurt mfg therefore not on DWM.
